As I was reading this passage I kept asking God to speak to me, to refresh me and to show me something I haven’t seen in this story before. Here is what I learned. I find it fascinating that John remembers the servants filling the water to the "brim." Jesus just told them to "fill the jars with water." They could have filled them up with out it being absolutely—completely—filled to the brim. Here is what struck me though. Had they only filled it halfway, mostly full or full but not to the brim, then Jesus would have changed that amount of water into wine. The key is this: when Jesus asks us to do something, we do it to the max of our ability. It is not our job to know what He is going to do. Our job is to do our best with what He has given us and asked us to do.
Are you doing the max for Jesus today? |

It is easy to give until it hurts…..then stop or rest or just plain get distracted. Thank you for this reminder!!!!
