The pace and the distance

     It’s easy in a race to burnout. We need to learn to pace ourselves. We pace ourselves by not doing everything for God in the beginning of our relationship with Him and then coast along for years. Rather, every year we get creative and ask God to shape us, to renew us, and to give us growth so that we become like Him. We are in this race for life. Life on earth might end today or it might go on for years and years, we don’t know. What we do know is that everyday we pace ourselves and do everything we can to love God and love others. How are you doing? Do you love God more now than ever before? Are you learning to love others deeply in a sacrificial way?

 Matthew 22:36-38

³⁶“Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” ³⁷Jesus replied: ” ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ ³⁸This is the first and greatest commandment.
