In your journal or on a piece of paper draw a line down the middle and divide your page into two columns.  On one side, at the top, write the words, “Focused on heaven” and on the other side write down, “Tainted by the world”.  Take a few minutes to write down 7-10 things under each side.  Be sure to recognize those things where God has captured your heart and you are living for Him along with those areas of struggle.  For example, my list for “Focused on heaven” would include “Loving and supporting my wife in her business venture”, and “learning to not lose my cool with my kids”.  Under the “Tainted by the world” heading my list would include, “enjoying entertainment that celebrates sin” and “possessing worldly thoughts about money”.  Before you click over to the next page, fill out your two columns.
