Heart Transplant

What if you woke up today and found out you needed a heart transplant? What would you do? Who would you call? Most likely you would shed tears with family and friends. They might even give you some encouragement, "You are going to make it through this." And "No matter what happens we are here for you." It would probably be a pivotal day in history for you. Life would never be the same. Well, guess what? You need a heart transplant! God wants to rip out your old heart and put a new one inside of you. Listen.

Ezekiel 36:26

I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.

PROGRESS

Living for today but planning for tomorrow

Convinced of this, I know that I will remain, and I WILL CONTINUE WITH ALL OF YOU FOR YOUR PROGRESS and joy in the faith, ²⁶so that through my being with you again your joy in Christ Jesus will overflow on account of me.

One of our passions at Tenth Dot Ministries is to encourage you to spend time with God not just learn about God. This week we want to encourage you to read through the book of Philippians. It’s a short 4 chapter book. If you have questions, prayers or thoughts write them in the comment section. Wrestle with God. Ask questions about your life. Let His Word speak into your life.

Have you ever thought about why God wants to reward us? I know I do it for my children. They work so much more efficiently if they are motivated by a reward. And it’s just fun to see their faces when they receive a reward. Is it any different for us? Apparently not. God wants to reward us. 

Jeremiah 17:10

“I the Lord search the heart
and examine the mind,
to reward a man according to his conduct,
according to what his deeds deserve.”

Today, let’s begin with a challenge.

There are people all around us that need someone to encourage them and to pray for them. Today, be that person who takes the time to inspire those around you. Write out a prayer and give it to someone. 

Listen to Paul’s heart in the book of Philippians as he writes from a prison cell. 

It is right for me to feel this way about all of you, since I have you in my heart; for whether I am in chains or defending and confirming the gospel, all of you share in God’s grace with me. God can testify how I long for all of you with the affection of Christ Jesus.

And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless until the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ—to the glory and praise of God.
