The Farmer and God
The farmer and God are in a wonderful partnership in life. The farmer prepares the soil, plants the seed, and does his best to keep animals away from his crop. But he does not control the wind, the rain or the growth of the crop. The farmer is completely dependent on God. At the same time, the farmer must do something. He can’t simply pray for rain but not plant the seed. He is in a partnership with God for his work to succeed. He has to faithfully do his part and pray that God will provide the right amount of rain, sunshine and protection for him to experience a great harvest.
You and I are in this partnership with God in our work, our schools, our families and our life with God. Let’s look at one example among many:
