What is God’s blueprint for our life? How did God design us? The answer is found in our spiritual DNA. Our spiritual DNA, if you will, is made up of two strands. One is our gifts, the other our calling. These two are joined (zipped together) by God, Who gifts us and calls us.

Romans 11:29 says

“God’s gift and his calling are irrevocable.”

He is not going to go back on what He has called you and gifted you to do. They are unchangeable. Our gifts and our calling are side by side, inextricable from each other, held together by God Himself. Unraveling this concept unlocks the door for us to tap into our full potential.

Our spiritual DNA is given to us so that we can “complete the work” that we have received from the Lord (Colossians 4:17). What work has God called you to and gifted you for? It is woven within ever fiber of our being to complete that work. If we want fulfillment in this life it will come from doing that which we have been created for. Our DNA (gifts and calling) reveals God’s blueprint for our lives. Today take some time and ask God to reveal your gifts and your calling.
