As you move about your day today, ask God how you might “sit where others sit?” How might you be moved by a personal understanding of someone else’s condition? Who does God want you to help and serve by having you experiencing their situation, somehow, in a more personal way? Is it time for you to join the next church mission trip? Do you need to volunteer at the local mission, arriving early and staying late so you can just sit and visit with people? Do you need to contact my friend Cherrie and climb to the top of the garbage heap in Korah? Maybe you need to spend a couple of hours a week at the local retirement home and get to the know the people who live there. Whatever it is, ask God to open your heart and mind to sitting where others sit.
