Kim and I laugh about it now but at the time it really revealed my character. If a Christmas tree can cause me so much frustration how am going to handle it when real difficult things come my way? Not well. That is why we need God’s Word to shape who we are. Ponder these verses and think of ways to implement them today.
Psalm 4:4
In your anger do not sin; when you are on your beds, search your hearts and be silent.
Psalm 37:8
Refrain from anger and turn from wrath; do not fret—it leads only to evil.
Proverbs 16:32
Better a patient man than a warrior, a man who controls his temper than one who takes a city.
Proverbs 19:11
A man’s wisdom gives him patience; it is to his glory to overlook an offense.
Colossians 3:7-9
You used to walk in these ways, in the life you once lived. But now you must rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips. Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices

Dear Father God,
I need your help & protection from my old ways. Old ways: quick tongue to judgement, not listening, not loving and going out of my way to help others, not caring for ppl’s souls. I have allowed the flesh to come and absorbed my thinking and has been me weak towards men, money, & you. I need you to help me to be bold and stand my ground with better decisions, I truly want to make you proud. Truly!! I just sometimes need things that I am not ready for like love from any man, sex etc.
