And when we learn to trust on the Lord for our strength in opposition, we will put into practice the seventh principle of the Nehemiah Effect:  Finish Strong.  Without God’s help we are doomed to live a life of the possible, living in the lowlands, cowering in the shadows cast by the mountain tops around us.  But with God’s strength we can rise up like Eagles, we can live life in the heights experiencing the full glory of the Son.  What is the Nehemiah Effect?  It’s the effect that starts with a movement in the heart of one of God’s children.  It grows through prayer and BIG dreams and refines itself through personal inventory.  It’s the effect of God’s wall builders coming together in community, prepared for opposition, finding courage together in God and finishing the impossible in strength.  How does God want to unleash this effect in your life?  What would your church or youth group or family or college or community look like if you became part of the Nehemiah Effect?

May God use you to do the impossible through Him, by Him and for Him.  May His impossible walls bring out the fierce wrath of the enemy so that His impossible strength may prevail in our lives. Let the building begin!

Lord help me to be about Your business. Help me to build walls for Your Kingdom. Help me to break down enemy walls so that You can set more and more people free. Jesus show us Your way that is above our way. Teach us to follow You no matter how difficult, no matter the pain–our heart is to be like You. Heavenly Father, Daddy–reveal to us Your plan, Your dream–we want to join You in what You are doing on earth. You amaze me. I love You.

I do not want to be “doomed to live a life of the possible.”
Thank You, God of grace, that You have called me to Your eternal glory in Christ and will restore me and make me strong, firm, and steadfast. I do not deserve Your love, but I thank You from the bottom of my heart.
Please help me PREPARE for opposition and live in Your POWER.

this year I’ve been coming closer to God, and i love it! Things in life aren’t what I’d like them to be but I”ve been happier then ever since I’ve been coming closer to him. Lately it seems like something ALWAYS has to go wrong. The death of a close friend, problems at school, things at home etc. and i wonder why these things happen, but i know God is still in control. Now im 110% sure God has BIG plans for me. If weekly letdowns is what I’m going to have to deal with to Serve God, then bring it on.

Lord, help me to always remember to rely on you. I will work as I do as if it depended on me, but I truly turn all my life’s dreams over to you. Lord I commit myself to you! The impossible for me is NOTHING to You! I am Yours for whatever You desire. Please continue your hedge of protection around me and those that are fellow “wall builders” in the ministries I am involved in. Help us to be whoever Your will desires.

    IN JESUS NAME! AMEN!
