We prepare

Over the last 4 weeks, we have tried to prepare you to live out the plans that God has for you. You probably have some more planning and preparing to do. Joshua prepared his people to go to battle. He prepared them for conquering the promise land. What do you need to do today to prepare for the dream God has for you? What are some steps you can do to prepare? In preparing, God shapes your character and your heart so that when you go you are ready.

Joshua told the Israelites this

Joshua 3:5

⁵ Joshua told the people, “Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the LORD will do amazing things among you.”

consecrate |ˈkänsiˌkrāt|

 devote (something) exclusively to a particular purpose

In preparing, Joshua said, “You need to devote yourself fully to God and His purposes.” You need to consecrate yourselves to Yahweh. In doing so, it prepares them to see the amazing things that God is going to do. 

Today, devote yourself fully to God and His purposes. As you do this, it prepares you to fulfill His dream and His vision for your life.
