If the ax is dull and its edge unsharpened, more strength is needed
If you were to chop down a tree with an unsharpened ax, it would take lots of strength and a lot more time. More time. More strength. However, the wise man sharpens his saw and skill and God grant him success.
What areas of your life do you need to ask God to sharpen so that you can make every swing count?
- Relationship with God.
- Relationship with your spouse.
- Relationship with family.
- Relationships. Period.
- Do you need to focus because your eyes keep wandering? Do you keep making excuses for your actions?
- Self-control with what goes into your body. Or with what comes out (language, pride, lust, anger)
- What can you sharpen today so that you can make every swing count? Stop wasting your valuable time and your strength—sharpen your ax.
Write below 1 way you are going to sharpen your ax.

i will sharpen my ax by watching what comes out of my mouth
Those who control their tongue will have a long life; opening your mouth can ruin everything.

I will practice self control when I become angry, especially in competition.

I need to give myself more time in the morning to connect with God before my day really gets rolling. Each day is packed from morning til’ night and I don’t always start with a sharp blade. I’m going to bump that morning alarm 30 minutes earlier to make sure I visit the Great Blacksmith before I enter the woods for the day!
