God was incredibly kind to us. In turn, God commands us to be kind to others. As we grow in Christ, kindness should be some of the fruit that is evidenced in our lives. So the question is, “to whom do you need to show kindness today?” or, “to whom do you need to put some action to your love?” If you’re up for it, include a comment about how you will put love in action today. Here are seven quick ideas for showing kindness today to help get your creativity flowing!
Give your time and/or money to help the needy at your local mission, food closet or clothing distribution center Send a card to a friend Call and encourage your pastor with kind words of affirmation for his or her ministry Leave a note of thanks and a gift card for the church/school/work janitor, thanking them for their usually thankless labors Take some fresh baked goodies to a neighbor, ‘just because’ Make dinner for your parents Take care of all the arrangements and take your spouse on a surprise date |

God how can I be apart of bringing people back to You? It seems that so many have wandered from the faith. It seems that so many are just content with their stuff, their life without You. Why? What can I do to show them Your loving kindness. What changes hearts? What wakens the soul? Where does our longing for You turn into an intimate relationship with You? How do we move out of our mundane lives into the God-sized life You call us to. I love You LORD and I want to be Your ambassador. Please speak through me in everything I do and say today.
