Today, would you allow yourself to be humbled by the Gospel?  The Gospel that calls us to get on our knees and wash the feet of the unworthy. The Gospel that calls us take up our crosses and follow our Savior. The Gospel that was lived out in Jesus’ life who reached out and touched the sinners, ate with the prostitutes, drank water offered from the adulterous, forgave murderers, befriended betrayers yet never shrank back from the message.  I’m not asking you to compromise the truth to pacify those who oppose it; I’m just asking that we not compromise the integrity of the truth by beating down those who won’t receive it.

I don’t deserve a relationship with God.  You couldn’t earn a relationship with God if you had 1,000 lives to try.  The Gospel reminds us that every human being is lost beyond saving and only through faith in Christ can we find hope.  Let that message resonate in your heart.  Let praise be uttered to God as you humbly see Him for who He is, and you for who you are.  If people are repulsed by the Gospel may it be because Christ is offensive to them, not because His disciples are.
