A verses down in Nahum, we read this:

“The Lord is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in Him” — Nahum 1:7

I would rather trust in God and experience His care, than make Him jealous and experience His corrective wrath. Have you elevated anything in the place of God?
