No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation He will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it. — 1 Corinthians 10:13

God’s faithfulness is such that He cannot violate His character so that He cannot break a single promise.  That means everything we know and see about God in His Word remains true, every second of every hour of every day.  And because nothing in God’s nature or character can change, that means His promises remain true forever.  When God says He will help us in times of temptation and make it possible for us to overcome every time we are tempted, then He has bound Himself to keep His Word.  You and I can be certain that God will help us, because God is faithful.
