That He gave- How can I possibly fathom this gift? It’s too much. The fact that You give amazes me. Thank You for giving. Thank You for finding me redeemable. Why wasn’t there another way? This way overwhelms me. Your giving is breathtaking. Your giving to people who spat in Your face. Your giving to people who never listen to You. You giving to people who stopped believing in You. You giving to the lost, the broken, the hurt, the faithless, the powerless, the beggars, the prostitutes, the rich, the powerful, the best, the worst, NOTHING will ever be able to express Your giving. You are too much! I love You. Thank You for giving. Thank You for giving. You gave. You gave. You give. You give. Wow!

His only-You did not give out of abundance. You didn’t give out of Your leftovers. You did not give what you could spare. You did not give without thought. You did not give what You could replace. You did not give what was easy. You truly gave Yourself. You truly gave what was best. You truly gave Your all. You truly gave everything. How could You do this. Seriously Daddy, how could You give Your Son, YOUR ONLY SON???? I am sorry for ever giving for my benefit. I am sorry for ever giving in a way that I am not invested in it. Teach me to give my all, my everything, ALL for YOU my KING! Your only. Your only. Your only Son. Your only Son. Oh God- YOU amaze me. Thank You for giving Your only, Your all, Your everything, Your Beloved Son.

Believes in HIM-seriously this is it. All we have to do is believe. Really? But YOUR belief requires me to love like You-to give like You- to embrace like You- to believe in You like You believe in me. To believe in You I must be obedient. My life is put in Your care. My hope is put in You. My heart in the Surgeon’s hands. My mind under Your control.

Should not perish-We no longer get what we deserve. God You are so unfair! You give grace where I deserve death. You give life instead of death. You give purpose instead of confusion. You don’t give me what I deserve but now You protect me from Hell.

But have eternal life- You give and I get. This should never have been! I should have always been giving to my Creator. I should have always been serving You. I should be the servant. But You did not come to be served but to serve. You have given therefore I have. Seriously this is crazy. Why love me? Why give Your life for a broken and depraved world? Why give Your life? All I can say is thank YOU YOU YOU YOU are my everything. Thank You for giving me the greatest gift ever- YOU. Now I get eternal life-to be with YOU forever! Wow! Thank You.

For God – This act was for Him and for us. Just as much as this was for him; all we do should also be FOR GOD.
So Loved – When have I even known a love like this? Never! I have NEVER been so loved. His love is more important than my next breath. Without His love, which is SO ABUNDANT, there would be no reason to continue. The fact that He loved so much is reason to hope!
The World – Not a single person left out. Every tribe, tongue, and nation!
That He gave – HE GAVE! It is not something we earn, it is something HE GAVE! We do NOT deserve it! He gave it because: “For God so loved…”
His only – There was never one before, or ever will be one again the likes of Jesus. The ONLY perfect person to EVER walk the face of the earth! He was the ONLY one capable of the price that was to be paid!
Son – OF GOD! Not just a great man, not just a miracle worker, OF GOD! Not just OF GOD but GOD! The firstborn! The perfect, holy & wholly, Lamb, without blemish!
that whoever – Not just the Jews. ANYONE! ASK, SEEK, KNOCK! If you come, He will receive you! Hey, if he accepted me, he will accept anyone!
Believes in Him – It all comes down to this statement. God has already accepted you, God already loves you! Now it’s your turn… TURN TO JESUS! He is the only way!
Should not perish – We are given hope for the future! We have always been eternal beings, now we know through our belief in Him that we WILL NOT PERISH!!!!!! Praise GOD!
But have eternal life – Created to be eternal, through Jesus, given hope for ETERNAL life!
Thank you Lord for your overwhelming love and sacrifice! If not for your gift, I would have nothing to hope for, nothing to look towards, no reason to love, and no reason to live! If not for you I WOULD HAVE KILLED MYSELF! But instead of you having me spill my blood… you let your Son spill his…
