Ever heard the phrase, “A penny for your thoughts?”  Makes our thoughts not worth a whole lot, doesn’t it.  Imagine though, if you could get a penny for a thought and the person doing the thinking, thought enough thoughts that it was equal to the number of grains of sand on the seashore.  Would you take ‘a penny for your thoughts” then?
