The reality is we don’t know when Jesus will return, or when through death we will enter His presence. Matthew writes,
Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come — 24:42
Why should we strive to live as Jesus commands? One reason is simple: He is coming back and we will see Him face to face.
What will you be doing when that happens?

This is amazing. I think this hit me right where I’m at and is exactly what I needed from God right now. Lately I’ve been trying to come up with a reason for living my life the way I am instead of following the ways of the world. This is my reason. Jesus can take me anytime.
