What does it mean to have a God who delights in you?

Daddy- It is so hard to imagine you wrapping Your arms of love around me. No matter how much I wander YOU draw me back to You. How is it that You the King, the Creator of everything can delight in me? I don’t understand Your crazy love for me but thank You. Thank You for rejoicing in me, delighting in me. I don’t deserve Your love or grace but I am forever thankful for your pursuit of me. Teach me to pursue you and to delight in You. You are everything to me. I love You so much.

Dear Father – You are so awesome and I thank You for Your love for me, even though I don’t completely understand it. What I do understand is that I can feel when You are pleased with me and I pretty much know when I have not pleased You. It’s different than when people are please with me. When You are please with me I can feel it to the core of my soul. When I have acted in a way that would not honor You and my actions are a disappointment, I feel so bad for disappointing You. If I disappoint someone in the world, the flesh usually attacks me by words of condemnation or disapproval. But it is different with You. When I do something dumb or act in a way that does not honor You, I know that You STILL love me. Your Word says that You delight in me; and many times I wonder “how?” but then I remember that You are God, my creator, my Father, my Refuge. my All in all, You are my everything and You love me with no conditions. Thank You for sending Your Holy Spirit to remind me when I am off track and thank You for the joy You fill me with when I am pleasing to You. I love You so much!
