Matthew 13:44-46The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field.Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant looking for fine pearls. When he found one of great value, he went away and sold everything he had and bought it.CommentsPowered by Facebook Comments |

It seems like every time I approach these verses my soul is stirred by You. My desire is to give my all. My desire is sell everything. My heart is for You. Am I doing enough? I know You are not basing my love for You on performance but is there something more You want from me? LORD I want to follow You in everything. EVERYDAY. I love You LORD.

Father … my heart wants so badly to follow you so closely & to obey your every command, but my flesh, this earthly body, struggles in so many ways. I ask YOU now to help this mortal body follow YOU the way my heart desires … the way that I feel YOU leading me, Father. I need YOUR strength, YOUR wisdom, YOUR discernment to live this life on earth. I love YOU.

Lord, please be my strength today. I need to rely on you to get through this busy day. But Lord, most of all, please help me to focus on you and never turn away from you. I love you Lord and I thank you for all of your many blessings.

How many times have I stumbled upon that field and got so excited about it, camped out in it for a few days or weeks, and then sold it for something that would fill my stomach. Oh God! Seeing the kingdom of God in action makes me feel like I am out in the cold looking into a warm home filled with joy, laughter and love. i am so thankful that Christ is always out in the cold on the porch waiting for me to invite me back in to the house I once lived in and reminds me that he has made my bed in anticipation for me and bought my favorite soap to wash my face with. Thank you Lord!
