Lamentations 3:22-24

Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed,

for his compassions never fail.

They are new every morning;

great is your faithfulness.

I say to myself, “The Lord is my portion;

therefore I will wait for him.”

    How sweet is your Word!
    When reading 2 Cor. 5:17, it occurred to me, as if anew, that just as you say your mercies are new every morning, every morning I can say that I am new! So even if I am disappointed in my life of yesterday, today, and can live in the new. That old self is no longer even a “self”… it no longer is! I don’t have to claim it anymore! Such a perspective gives me great courage and motivation in acting on that new creation and not walking in old ways…. Thank you, Jesus, for the power of your mighty word!

    The old has gone, the new has come- PRAISE GOD ALMIGHTY for this! I am practicing this as I speak (type). I have to let go of the old & take hold of the new and be that new creation in Christ!

    Thank you Father God, Abba, Daddy that your compassion never fails. I am a sinner, and I hold on to way too many things for way too long. Help me to let them go and find fullfillment and love in your embrace. Thank you for loving me.

    I love this prayer in Habakkuk.
    Habakkuk 3:1-6 (NLT)
    I have heard all about you, Lord.
    I am filled with awe by your amazing works.
    In this time of our deep need,
    help us again as you did in years gone by.
    And in your anger,
    remember your mercy.
    I see God moving across the deserts from Edom,
    the Holy One coming from Mount Paran.
    His brilliant splendor fills the heavens,
    and the earth is filled with his praise.
    His coming is as brilliant as the sunrise.
    Rays of light flash from his hands,
    where his awesome power is hidden.
    Pestilence marches before him;
    plague follows close behind.
    When he stops, the earth shakes.
    When he looks, the nations tremble.
    He shatters the everlasting mountains
    and levels the eternal hills.
    He is the Eternal One!

    I hate it when the enemy reminds me of my past but then I love the fact that it is my past. I love the fact that I am a new creation and even though we live in a fallen world, I still am new in Him. When Adam sinned he became spiritually dead. I came from the loins of a dead man. That is why I had to be born again and when I was I became a new creation! Praise the Lord! I no longer need to look back and be ashamed but I can fix my eyes on Jesus and submit my life fully to Him. That is truly living!

    Father thank you so much for your continual forgivness. We all make mistakes and fall short of your glory. Yet you are always there to pick us up again thank you for loving us unconditionally even though we most definetly dont diserve it.
