One of the dangers of following Jesus is becoming complacent: Grace becomes ordinary. Jesus’ sacrifice becomes familiar. God’s love becomes normal. The power of the Spirit becomes something we teach about but never experience. Prayer becomes boring. Life becomes mere existence.
The faith we are a part of is no less than extraordinary. Unless we constantly remind ourselves of the enormous lengths of God’s everlasting love, we will miss out on the life that God designed for us.
Today as you ponder these verses, your life, and God Almighty, let God remind you of the deep and remarkable life He has for you.

Now to Him through the power that is working in us, is able to do far more then we could ask or think. Eph. 3:20
This verse always reminds me not to limit God. The world tells us to follow our dreams, yet God tells us that our dreams are too small.

I think we are in danger of becoming complacent on a daily basis. That’s what satan wants-anything to keep us from being on fire for Christ. We have to be in daily prayer-and not just habitual prayer-but conscious prayer-the kind where you reach out in a desire to speak with our Daddy, Abba, Father, God. It is when things become simply a habit and no longer meaningful, that we are in serious danger.
Father God, stir up in my heart a desire that resides there for you. A longing that cannot be fulfilled by anyone or anything other then you. Lord, help me not to become complacent but to follow after you.

Lord, please light that fire in me… I have some of the head knowledge, but I don’t always live my life as though I believe the things you say. Help me to want to read your word and study your word more. Help me to live as though I cannot contain the joy and excitement that you have brought to my life!!!!
