The Voice of God

I wonder what it would be like to actually audibly hear God’s voice. I have heard Him speak to me through my thoughts, through others, through sermons, through the Bible but never out loud. I am sure it would scare me (possibly to death) so that might not be good. Imagine how awesome it would be if God told you, "Danny (fill in your name) you are the salt of the earth." Wow! I would hang on those words everyday. I would believe them in my heart. I would act on them moment by moment. "Danny, you are the light of the world." Woah! How different those words would sound coming through the voice of God.

¹³ “You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.

   ¹⁴ “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. ¹⁵ Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. ¹⁶ In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
