You belong to the King of kings.
You are loved by the Ultimate Lover.
You are chosen by the Creator of the Universe
You are the apple of God’s eye.
You are your Daddy’s child.
You are a heavenly gift.
You are fearfully and wonderfully crafted by the hands of God.
As we discover and believe who we are, it changes everything we say and do. When you understand that YOU ARE the light of the world, you are the salt of the earth, you are His witnesses, you are chosen, and you are His children–it changes everything. We have to understand that these are not things that we do, or even things that we possess, but these are things that we ARE.
“You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled under people’s feet.
“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven."

Lord, help me live up to who you have already created me to be. Help my children also- to run the race already marked out for them. Thank you for walking ahead of us and mapping out the way. Help me to see it.

Wow-you hit the nail on the head with this devotion! If there is one thing I need to work on more then any other, it is to realize my worth in Christ. People don’t understand why it’s so hard for me to hear them tell me nice things about myself (I mean it’s not just false humility-it often times brings me to tears to have others show concern for me) and I don’t even understand it myself. What I do know is that I don’t see myself the way others see me. Most importantly-I don’t see myself the way God sees me. This is a terrible thing-but I am working on it. With evey reminder, every day, I hope to believe those words written above about myself.
Lord God, help me to see myself as your child, beautiful and cherrished by you and others around me. Help me to see my worth in you and not in things that I do or accomplish. Father I love you and I thank you for everything you continue to do in my life.

My God and my Father,
Thank You so much for assuring me that I am NOT what the world says, or even what I tell myself. I am what YOU say! Only when I take my eyes off you, do I forget. But You are ever present, whispering words of truth, telling me I am Yours. I ask for Your strength and power to keep my eyes fixed on You, not on my past, or consumed with the future, but on who You have created me to be today, Your precious baby girl!
